About

Welcome! Are you a business woman, or would you like to be? Do you want to find out how to set up or improve your own business? Do you want to learn new skills, gain confidence, and network with like-minded women? Then read on!

A previous course, Women Leading for a Change was a tremendously successful and award winning leadership programme. It was led by the WEA in partnership with Bright Ideas, the Broadway Cinema and CEFET. (Visit http://womenleadingforachangedotorg.wordpress.com/ for more details.)

Now, One Nottingham is funding a programme of activities aimed at aspiring business women and entrepreneurs in Nottingham City. It is brought to you by Bright Ideas, mon0lisa, and the WEA East Midlands. The course is made up of a series of practical workshops, inspirational networking and learning events led by female entrepreneurs.

The programme will be aimed at

  • Women who want to set up a new business
  • Women who want to learn how to strengthen their existing business
  • Women who want to explore their business potential.
  • Women who want to learn new skills and confidence.
  • Women who want to meet other like-minded women and expand their network.

It doesn’t matter how small or big your ideas or plans are. This programme will cover a range of business ideas – whether you want to sell products, deliver training, or offer a service.  You may want to set up a social enterprise, a private business, or something else entirely.

By the end of the programme of workshops, each woman entrepreneur will have learned a wealth of new skills, and will have a basic business starter kit to launch or re-launch their new business.

There will be a number of exciting events running this September and October, please click on the links for more information:
